MARCY'S TRAVEL BLOG- FRIENSHIP, LAUGHTER, SEQUENCE AND SUDOKU!

One of my favorite things to do here is walk the beach- wading as I walk, and letting the waves kiss my feet!  Such a soothing feeling!  Such a soothing sound!  A place of beauty and tranquility!

Back at the lake house we settled onto the deck for a bit of relaxation and a couple of games of Sequence!

Willy and I have some fierce "Sequence" games.   Did I mention the I had won a few games last time we played?  Well-- time to eat a little crow!!  Willy BEAT  me not once- but TWICE!  Soundly! It's a fun game of strategy as well as chance.  But the fun banter that goes along with the game is priceless!

She and I have talked in the past about "Sudoku"- the numbers puzzle game.   Willy was not sure she could master it.  I coxed her into giving it a try!   Bam!  She caught on right away!   It was fun teaching her the game!

Willy has a wonderful sense of humor!  We can get the giggles over every day occurrences and random observations!  What fun to be around such humor! Laughter is indeed good medicine!

This was my last night here.  I wanted to take them out for dinner- Bill and Willy thought a Fish Fry place would be a good idea.  Off we went to  Ossineke, Michigan to a place called "Connie's Cafe".  We got seated right away in a room with a view of their beautiful gardens! Unfortunately I didn't get pictures.

This place is unique- mostly serving  Breakfasts and Lunches,  but also serves dinners once or twice a week.  The fish was delicious! And plentiful!  Needless to say, I got a "to go" box!  At check out I noticed they also had an array of baked goods, including huge cinnamon rolls!!  I was tempted, but then remembered we were going to have dessert back at the house!

Bill decided we'd take the back roads going home.  We passed beautiful woods and rolling countryside! This road with the green canopy of branches was so pretty, Bill stopped so I could get out and take a picture!

Our meandering through the countryside reminded me of the Sunday afternoon drives my family took growing up.  It was a simple pleasure I think is lost today.

Once home Willy dished out Vanilla ice-cream topped with fresh peaches and whipped cream! Yum!! It was a perfect topping to a yummy meal!

As I said my "Goodnights"  I thought about how lovely my visit had been, and felt truly blessed!

In the morning my son was flying in to give me a flight back home So I had yet another flying adventure to look forward to!

I snuggled down under the covers and smiled the smile of a contented person! What a lovely experience!

And then I  fell asleep to the gentle lap- lapping of the Lake Huron waves and the cool breeze coming through the windows.  Blessed Indeed!

Check back in as I share with you my return flight adventure !

Until the, dear readers-Remember that Life Indeed holds Adventures, both Big and Small.  Sometimes you just need to Look for them!
