Marcy's Travel Blog- Boyne Mountain, Michigan Resort!!

Sunday was my granddaughter Payton's 4th Birthday! It was to be a fun filled day, which included some traveling!!! Mama Mia made a special Birthday girl crown!

The day began with daughter-in-law Mia making a wonderful birthday breakfast buffet!

Scrambled egg- bacon and sasage- fresh fruit salad- and a blue berry breakfast Birthday cake! Yum!
Big brother Evan enjoying little sister's Birthday!

Mia's parents, Bill and Willy joined us! A special blue berry "Birthday Breakfast Cake" with candles and a Birthday song came first!

A sweet moment between me and the Birthday girl!

After breakfast  was the gift opening ceremony! I was so surprised how patiently Payton waited to open these until after breakfast! But when the time came, Payton danced with excitement!

Payton LOVES cloths! Christmas was a time of many toys and a few cloths. This Birthday cloths were the main gift!

Of course, Daddy is wearing ribbons (thanks to Payton) while taking a movie of the event!

She also got a wonderful set of items to care for her baby dolls!

Then into the car we piled! Boyne Mountain Resort, here we come!!

We headed north, encountering freezing rain and snow along the way. With a quick stop for a late lunch, we arrived safe and sound!

Once to the Great Mountain Lodge, we checked in with Logan, welcoming us warmly!

The grandkids got a kick out of the bear in the lobby! They liked the bear's hat!

We were amazed at what greeted us once to our room!

Posted on our door!
Birthday balloons

A Birthday banner on the fire place!

A card and Gifts! Payton was thrilled!
A Great big THANK YOU to Scott, the concierge who so graciously set up this special Birthday surprise!

The ski hills were closed, but the water park was open! One of the favorites with Payton was the hot tub!

I regret that no one got pictures of me coming out of some of those wild slides! But it was FUN! Son Steven went down the craziest ones with me!

Son Steven w/ his son Evan- two great water slide experts!

On one slide- they came out so fast- the raft dumped them into the brink!

After dinner we had one last Birthday surprise! Payton also got another Birthday cake, and one more birthday song! What an end to a long and fun filled day!!

I have no idea how anyone could top this Birthday! But it was a fun day, filled with celebration and surprises! Check in tomorrow for some skiing fun!

Life is an adventure, and part of the fun is seeing life through the eyes of a child!

Until tomorrow!
